🔥 $75,000 GIVEN BACK IN 2026! 🔥
What an incredible year for Smoke In The Mountains BBQ & Ribeye Shootout!
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission has always been simple and close to our hearts: supporting the first responders who serve and protect our communities. ❤️
The 2026 Smoke In The Mountains BBQ & Ribeye Shootout was a HUGE success, and we could not have done it without the incredible support of our community, sponsors, silent auction donors, volunteers, public officials, competitors, attendees, and everyone who showed up and supported this event.
Because of YOU, we are incredibly proud to announce that Smoke In The Mountains donated $75,000 to our local first responders this year — $15,000 MORE than we donated in 2025! 🎉
đźš’ $15,000 was donated to each of these five local first responder organizations:
• Valentine Volunteer Fire Department
• DMR Volunteer Fire Department
• Fort Davis Volunteer Fire Department
• Cherry Creek Volunteer Fire Department
• Mountain Medics
❤️ HONORING WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Smoke In The Mountains has a very special history in our community.
After the devastating Rock House Fire of 2011, Sara Adams brought the original Smoke In The Mountains to life in 2012, creating something incredible out of a difficult time for our community.
During the three years Sara led Smoke In The Mountains, an amazing $100,000 was donated back to our county.
When the event was brought back in 2023, we were honored to continue what Sara started.
From 2023 through 2025, $165,000 was donated to our local first responders.
Add this year’s $75,000, and together with the original $100,000 raised during Sara’s years, Smoke In The Mountains has now given back an incredible…
🔥🔥 $340,000 TO OUR COUNTY! 🔥🔥
That is something our entire community can be proud of. ❤️
We also want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our commissioners and public officials who believed in this event, supported us from the beginning, and continue to stand behind our mission.
