Good morning! Blessings to everyone who attended our powwow this past weekend. We appreciated your participation. We hope that most of you have returned home safely already. For those traveling today, we pray for traveling mercies upon your journey.
NCIPA's 32nd Annual Powwow and Art Market was filled with goodness, laughter, friend/family reunions, amazing singing and dancing, incredible artistry and craftsmanship by our vendors, delicious food, incredible volunteers who came from all walks of life, and ... so much more! We are so grateful today. We had our list of challenges, but all the puzzle pieces fell into place once again and created a stunning completed work of art. Thank you, Creator! We are grateful for our Host Drums, Bad Medicine and Meskwaki Nation, visiting drums, Staff Carrier Darrell Wildcat, and his helpers, Head Gourd Dancer Jayden Spottedwolf, Arena Director Randy Medicine Bear, Announcers Corky Old Horn and Zach Rockwell, Kitchen Supervisor Josh, and Amazing Frybread Makers, the Davenport Family!!
Our beautiful 2025-26 Princess Waniyetu Iron Cloud and her family sponsored a Drum Contest and Teen Girls' All-Around which added tremendously to the powwow! We appreciate their incredible support and representation throughout the year and wish them many blessings in return for all that they added and shared with the powwow. It was a joy to work with the beautiful Iron Cloud Family!
We welcome our new 2026-27 Princess, Miss AJ Spottedwolf from Clinton, Oklahoma. We pray for her safety and protection and look forward to her representation throughout the next year.
Every year we take the opportunity to recognize and thank members of our community for all they do to make this world a better place. In 2025, we were so grateful to thank Steve LaPointe and ErliDawn Roy who have done incredible work throughout the state of Colorado! We felt their strength throughout the year and pray that they will continue doing what they are doing, with many blessings in return. This year, we are proud to announce our honorees - Ron Hall and Ron Bubar. We appreciate all they have done for our Fort Collins Native American Community. Their contributions are numerous!
Throughout the weekend, people stepped forward in various capacities sharing their knowledge in a beautiful way. We want to thank Mr. Andy Cozad for all that he did and taught us about the Gourd Dance and dance arena. We also acknowledge all our elders who offered blessings before, during, and after the powwow. AND of course, there are always past princesses and their families who offer their support, encouragement, and willingness to help in any way possible. We love that they continue to come, dance, and support our powwows!
