Homeward Alliance Homeward Alliance empowers people who face homelessness to survive, move forward and thrive.

We operate 11 programs and initiatives that provide a wide range of supports—everything from basic-needs supplies to employment counseling, housing assistance and long-term case management—to about 5,000 individuals each year. Programs include: Housing First Initiative, Family Services (including Bilingual Housing Navigation), Family Resource Fairs (including Family Food and Children/Teen Closet), Peer Recovery Services, ReEntry (parolees), Bike Repair, Distribution, Mobile Laundry and the Murphy Center, our community’s “one-stop-shop” resource center for people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Collectively, our efforts help people meet their immediate and long-term needs while furthering our community’s plan to make homelessness rare, short-lived and non-recurring.

When an encampment gets cleared, the news moves on. But where do the people go? And why does another one appear a few weeks later?

The news tells us a lot about homelessness. Some of it is true. Some of it leaves out the people living it.

On our new episode of From Here to Home, we talk about what gets missed and what a fuller picture looks like. It takes 15 minutes.

There are 679 little purple houses out in Northern Colorado right now. Each one stands for a real person on our region’s housing list, an adult or a child waiting for a home. Youth made every house by hand.

If you find one, you are holding someone’s place in this community. Take a photo, tag us, and keep it as a reminder of those we still need to support or leave it where others can see it.

The campaign wraps up this Saturday, October 10, on World Homeless Day. Learn more at littlepurplehouse.com.

We’re down the wire and we’re not sure our Volunteer Coordinator is okay. Can you help?

We’re looking for volunteers for Project Homeless Connect: Set-up on Thursday afternoon and early evening, and day-of support Friday late morning to early afternoon.

PHC is a very special event for our community as it provides on the spot services and resources for about 400 unhoused and housing insecure adults and children. This is one event we simply can’t do without your help!
