Instructor: Marcia Anziano
Marcia began her swimming career late, learning to swim at age 50 and starting to compete seriously at 55. She still competes at the National level in pool racing and continues to participate in Open Water events. As a relay team member, she completed the Triple Crown of Open Water (English Channel, Swim around Manhattan Island, and Catalina Channel). As a solo swimmer, her longest event was a 12-mile swim in the Willamette River.
Marcia has coached Masters continuously since 2004. Prior to moving to Fort Collins in 2018, she coached High School in Denver for eight years. Since then, she has coached youth and Masters teams at Raintree Athletic Club and teaches swim lessons to all ages. She holds ASCA Level 2 and Masters Level 3 coaching certifications. Marcia believes strongly that technique, combined with consistent training, is key to success in swimming.
