Meet our special project coordinator: Lenka Doskocil!

"Hello! I'm Lenka and I am a senior in the Watershed Science program that is passionate about high elevation wetland restoration. I have had relatively little formal education in this field and most of my experience has been through volunteer work and research internships. Enter CSU's SER club, which for me, has been a really neat way to gain more exposure to other restoration topics and start networking with peers and professionals alike."

"Hi! I'm Kat Millman. I am currently the secretary for the SER student chapter at CSU. I am a senior in Conservation Biology with minors in Ecological Restoration and Statistics. I joined the club as a freshman in 2017 in part because of the in-field, hands-on, opportunities that were provided. I am especially interested in community ecology and how plant and animal populations work together on the landscape. And I recently completed my honors thesis on the relationships between pond characteristics, including plant community, and pond use for waterfowl habitat."

Kat has been with us for many years and we are so grateful for all her hard work!! She is slated to graduate in May so keep an eye out for opening officer positions!

"Hi! I'm Brooke Simmons (she/her/hers) and I'm so excitd tojoin SER as the President for the student chapter at CSU! In 2021 I'm hoping to bring a variety of opportunities for club members to engage with restoration projects. I believe it's important to have a balance of field experiences, networking opportunities, professional development, building relationships with the community and creating social opportunities for members of the club. I'm looking forward to this experience and can't wait to meet new faces!"
