Today, we are officially launching KEEPING HOPE WILD. 💚
Wildlife rehabilitation in Colorado and Wyoming has reached a critical turning point. Every year, more injured, orphaned, and displaced wild animals need help than ever before — but the resources available to care for them have not kept pace with the growing demand.
In 2026 alone, Northern Colorado Wildlife Center is on track to receive more than 10,000 emergency calls and admit more than 2,600 wildlife patients. As our communities continue to grow, so do human-wildlife conflicts, habitat pressures, and the urgent need for rescue, rehabilitation, education, and coexistence services.
Unfortunately, our current facility and resources have been pushed beyond their limits. Despite being trained and licensed to care for a wide range of native wildlife species, we have increasingly been forced to turn away animals simply because we no longer have adequate space or resources available.
But we believe we can change that — together.
Through the Keeping Hope Wild campaign, we are working to build a stronger future for wildlife rescue, conservation, education, and coexistence in our region. Our vision includes expanded rehabilitation space, increased rescue resources, stronger educational programs, and a permanent future facility that can better meet the needs of both wildlife and our growing community.
And today, thanks to a generous supporter, every donation made to the campaign will be MATCHED up to $5,000 to help us launch this mission strong.
This campaign is about more than saving wildlife. It is about protecting the ecosystems we all share, investing in future generations, and building a community where people and wildlife can coexist together.
If you believe wildlife deserves a future, we hope you’ll stand with us. Together, we can keep hope wild.
