Rocky Mountain Farmers Union Colorado State University Chapter The CSU RMFU Chapter focuses on engaging students in agriculture through their passions.

We focus on education, leadership skills, outreach and advocacy, policy work, and cooperative development. The CSU RMFU Chapter is a group that focuses on engaging students in agriculture. We are a chapter that is apart of a larger ag organization called the, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union. We base our organization on 3 main pillars, education, legislation, and cooperation. We are a network, grassro

ots organization that stretches across the states of Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. We connect our students to farmers and producers through farm tours and meetings, get them involved in policy on a state and national level, and always focus on education and leadership.

Are you interested to learn about how COVID 19 is affecting farmers or hot topics in ag right now? The Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU) Collegiate Chapter will be hosting a Policy Talk on 4/24, Friday at 3:00pm (MST). This talk will be focused around the issues we are currently seeing with COVID19 in the farming world, current issues and topics related to ag, and time for open discussion and questions and answers. We will be meeting this Thursday (3/5) at High Hops Brewery in Windsor to listen in on their talk about saving farms through beer. The talk is from 6-7, is free to attend, and you do not have to be 21 to attend. The chapter will be carpooling over, so if you need a ride, please let us know! There will also be a food truck there for dinner.

Hey All! The RMFU CSU Chapter will be meeting tomorrow 2/20 at 6pm in the basement of the LSC at the Ramskellar. Bring your calendars as we'll be planning trips, tours, and events for the semester!
Some of us will also be volunteering Friday Night 2/21 at a Windsor Elementary School to teach kids about healthy food and getting more from what they eat! Message us if you are interested!

RMFU welcomes Maddie Lasewicz as our summer intern!

Maddie is a student at Colorado State University, majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Agricultural Literacy, is the president of the CSU RMFU chapter, as well as a founding officer of the chapter.

She will be focusing on work within the Education, Membership, Communications, External Affairs, and Cooperative Development departments.

The chapter will be touring a local hatchery north of Fort Collins on April 30 from 2-3:30pm. If anyone would like to join, please contact Aubriel at [email protected]
They will be talking about why hatcheries are important, touch on water issues, and touring the facilities. We hope to see you there!

RMFU is sending TWO to the National Farmers Union Women’s Conference in sunny San Diego, California!

RMFU invites our women members to apply for a scholarship to attend the NFU 2019 Women’s Conference at the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa in beautiful San Diego, CA. The conference kicks off Sunday evening, January 13 with a welcome reception and concludes Thursday, January 17 early afternoon. RMFU will cover the conference registration fee and hotel stay for four nights. All you are responsible for is your transportation and booking flights.
