Launch Community Through Skateboarding

10/01/2026

After 15 years of running an indoor skatepark in Fort Collins, Launch is preparing for its next chapter.

At the end of October, we will be closing our indoor skatepark and transitioning to a 100% mobile programming model.

Over the years, we've seen how skateboarding brings people together, builds confidence, and creates opportunities for young people. We've also seen the impact we can make by bringing skateboarding directly into the community through outdoor programs, camps, lessons, school partnerships, pop-ups, and community events.

Starting in 2027, we'll be expanding that work throughout Northern Colorado. Our mission isn't changing; we're just changing how we deliver it.

Before we make the transition, we hope you'll come skate with us this month.

October Open Skate Sessions
Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays
4–8 PM | $10 entry

Final Public Session: Friday, October 30

Thank you to everyone who has supported Launch over the past 15 years. We're grateful for what we've built together and excited about what's ahead!

The Collegian wrote a nice article on our recent fundraiser..

Launch Skate, a local nonprofit, hosted the fundraiser to celebrate its 15th anniversary of encouraging youth engagement in skateboarding.

Launch hosts hands-on workshops, skating lessons, summer camps and after-school clubs to promote physical activity and experiential learning. Additionally, Launch has distributed free skateboards and decks to Fort Collins youth to provide kids with the opportunity to skate.

The All Hands on Deck fundraiser has been a yearly event for Launch since its founding. Each year, the organization sends dozens of blank skateboard decks to local artists, who in turn use each deck to create an original piece of art to be auctioned off, with all of the proceeds benefiting Launch and its mission.
