Our advisory Board in Samburu is truly so good. Their valuable guidance, deliberation and debate helps ensure we are meeting the needs of the community, and operating with the highest levels of integrity and accountability. So appreciative of this group!

We always love stories of what alums are up to. Aldina (left), works for Actions for Cheetahs, in the organization's department of education as an outreach coordinator. Another great example of what happens when you invest in promising young people!

We recently wrapped up our reflections, metrics and reporting for 2025. Some initial outputs that summarize our activities:

- 46 fully supported for secondary school tuition, room, board and supplies
- 10 secondary school graduates, bringing our total to date to 132
- 6 life skills workshops and community service projects
- 93.8% of expenditures spent directly on programs
- ~30 women participated in our beadwork initiative

We get a lot done for a small organization, and more importantly, we do so in a way that is attentive to the social and cultural contexts of the place where we work, and with the trust of the communities we serve!

Several women from our partner Unity Village spent a day with Kenya to learn about the program's approach to the business and innovation side of selling beadwork and supporting livelihoods. Balancing the rich traditions of beadwork with the nuances and quirks of retail sales takes careful effort, and we are working closely with Unity Village to keep that balance in tact!
