We can't believe we already have TWO WEEKS of Summer Camp in the books! ☀️
(including our inaugural Pathfinders Leadership camp for 14-15yrs!) We've seen fish caught, targets hit, canoes flipped, and plenty of new friendships formed along the way. 🎣🛶🏹🎯

Thanks to our campers, parents, volunteers, and camp sponsors for making it all possible. Speaking of sponsors... take a peek at the back of that sweet camp shirt! 👀

We got 100 handwritten thank you cards from the middle school kids at University Schools— and it made our day! 💙

Summer gets busy fast.

Sports. Camps. Screens. Schedules. Repeat.

CORE is your chance to slow things down for a few evenings and spend intentional time together outdoors — learning new skills, sharing a few laughs, and making memories that last longer than summer break.

Parents and teens attend together, because we believe the best adventures are shared.

Summer CORE starts next week. Make some memories at Colorado Youth Outdoors.

for the crew that helps put the “clean” in clean shoot. 😉

The day AFTER the Maverick wraps (our clay shoot fundraiser), a dedicated group of CYO volunteers heads back out to Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch to help clear 85,000 broken clays from the course. This crew brings the ranch back to its pre-shoot glory.

It’s no small task — so we break up the work with a little shooting, a little fellowship, and a good lunch.

Thank you to this hardworking crew for stepping up and helping keep the Maverick right on target from start to finish. 🎯

And a special shoutout to Zak George Landscaping for sponsoring cleanup day — your crews absolutely crushed it!

Congrats to this wiley group of newly minted fly fishers! 🎣

Meet our 2026 Intermediate Fly Fishing class. For their final exam, we send them to St Peter's Fly Shop for a guided half-day on a local river. Not too shabby.

Folks, may your casts be true, your waders stay dry, and your fly always match the hatch.

Huge thanks to our sponsors: , Umpqua Feather Merchants, Cortland Line

The Maverick, CYO's largest fundraiser, doesn’t happen without a whole lot of folks willing to step up and pull together:

132 teams were sponsors
670 participants showed up to play
270 volunteers showed up to work
45 committee members have been planning since January

Over 85,000 shells were fired across our 70-acre course. We’d love to say 85,000 clays were hit… but there was apparently a little wind (mostly internal). 😉

Best of all, over one million dollars was raised to fund our mission: building relationships through traditional outdoor recreation. A new record!

To everyone who lent a hand, pulled a trigger, hauled a trailer, filled a cooler, parked a cart, or cheered us on — thanks for pulling for CYO. You made the Maverick a hit! 🎯

We're humbled and proud to have y'all in our corner.
