🚲 Tour de Farms is sold out! But if you’d still like to support local farmers while exploring some of Fort Collins’ newest bike infrastructure, join FC Moves for the Lettuce Ride on Sunday, October 4!

The family-friendly ride runs 10 a.m.–1 p.m., starting at Tailwinds Park and heading to the shopping center at East Harmony Road & South Lemay Avenue, where you’ll find restaurants, shops, a bike shop, farmers’ market, and more. Along the way, riders will experience the Siphon Overpass and Mail Creek Trail. The relaxed ride is about 6 miles round trip, with support available for minor mechanical issues..

Fort Collins, CO, earns 2026 Vision Zero for Youth U.S. Leadership Award

The National Center for Safe Routes to School is pleased to honor Fort Collins, Co., with the 2026 Vision Zero for Youth U.S. Leadership Award. Increased rates of students walking and biking to school in the city are the results of years of multifaceted efforts to improve and maintain school routes and educate people walking, biking, and driving.

In August, over 50 organizations and community leaders from across Colorado signed a letter, urging the Colorado Attorney General’s office to enforce HB25-1197 and curb the deceptive marketing of high-powered electric motorcycles and mopeds as legal e-bikes.

🚲 Celebrating Bette Sears, a Fort Collins Bike Advocacy Pioneer! 🚲

Long before Fort Collins had more than 185 miles of designated bike lanes, Bette Sears had a vision for safer, more bike-friendly streets.

After briefly living in Davis, California, Sears experienced firsthand the benefits of bicycle infrastructure and was inspired to bring that vision home to Fort Collins. A self-described “radical environmentalist,” she wanted to decrease traffic congestion and reduce bicycle-car collisions.

In 1970, Bette launched a petition for city-designated bike lanes and gathered more than 1,700 supporters. Her commitment, devotion and tenacity paid off. On September 24, 1970, Fort Collins painted its first bike lane on Olive Street—laying the groundwork for the bicycle network we enjoy today.

This year, we’re proud to celebrate Bette’s legacy as Mayor Emily Francis reads a proclamation declaring September 24 Bette Sears Bike Lane Appreciation Day.

Another MyCycle event in the books 6 Title 1 Poudre School District schools, 2 days, over 170 volunteers and 255 happy kids with a new Bike and Helmet. Thank you Scheels for donating all the helmet and delivering all the bikes. Thank you to Your Group Ride for rallying the bike clubs, you all rocked it this year!
