🌊 Happy World Ocean Day! 🌊

This weekend, our community came together to celebrate World Ocean Day the best way we know how: by taking action.

Together, our volunteers removed 44.9 pounds of trash from the Cache la Poudre River watershed, helping prevent litter from traveling downstream and impacting ecosystems far beyond Colorado.

Ocean conservation doesn’t begin at the coastline. It starts right here in our rivers, streams, and communities. Every piece of trash removed is one less piece that can make its way to the ocean.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support our mission. Your efforts are proof that protecting our blue planet starts at home.

We didn’t travel halfway around the world just to dive. 🪸

We came to learn what it takes to restore a reef and connect with the incredible people making a difference in their community.

During our time with Atlantis Dive Resorts in the Philippines, we had the opportunity to meet Marco, one of Atlantis’s local marine biologists and leaders of their coral restoration efforts. Seeing their active coral protection initiatives and coral tree nurseries firsthand was incredibly inspiring, especially as Reef Healers continues laying the foundation for future restoration work in Belize.

Alongside incredible diving and thriving marine life, we learned about current coral stressors, restoration techniques, and the dedication required to protect these ecosystems for future generations.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the entire Atlantis Dumaguete team for their next level hospitality, expertise, and commitment to ocean conservation. We’re returning home with new knowledge, new inspiration, and an even stronger commitment to advancing coral reef research and restoration around the world with an ocean-loving community of change-makers.

The ocean connects us all, and we’re grateful to share experiences with other organizations that protect what sustains us ⛈️ 💧

Clean water is the foundation of healthy communities, healthy rivers, and healthy oceans.

As inland ocean advocates, we believe protecting water starts right here at home. That means caring about the water flowing through our rivers and watersheds, but it also means making sure our local and neighboring communities have access to safe, clean drinking water.

While Fort Collins is known for its award-winning drinking water, many families in Larimer County mobile home parks are still facing boil water notices, discolored water, persistent odors, and uncertainty about whether their tap water is safe.

That is why we are supporting the Colorado Water Center and Mi Voz as they work to raise $100,000 to get an Epic Water Filter into every mobile home in Larimer County.
The new Mobile Home Water Quality Act is an important step forward, but infrastructure improvements take time. Families need support now.

This Drinking Water Week, help bring clean water to our neighbors.

💧 $10 = one filter
💧 $25 = one pitcher + one filter
💧 $50 = one pitcher + 3 filters, about a year’s worth of clean water
💧 $500 = a year of clean water for 10 households

🌎🌊 Earth Week Cleanup Success! 🌊🌎

We teamed up with Rams for Reefs CSU this Earth Week and came together over a shared passion for ocean conservation and we crushed it. 💪

Together, we removed 116.3 pounds of trash from the Cache la Poudre watershed, keeping it out of our rivers and the ocean downstream.

This is what inland ocean conservation looks like. Community, action, and real impact from rivers to reefs. 💧

So grateful for everyone who showed up and made this happen.

Taking a second this week to appreciate some of the smallest, most incredible members of coral reef ecosystems… nudibranchs 💙

These tiny sea slugs may be small, but they play an important role on the reef and come in some of the most unreal colors and patterns you’ll ever see. And yes… we even caught a rare moment of them mating 👀

Reefs aren’t just about the big, charismatic species. They’re built on thousands of interactions from creatures like these.

Also… they are adorable and we are fully obsessed with them.🥰

Take a moment today to appreciate the little things. 🌍
