On May 14th, we had the honor of hosting a knowledge exchange in Jutiapa, Honduras, as part of projects supported by the Ford Foundation and Climate and Land Use Alliance (CLUA). The event brought together 16 community-based organizations from across the region and 4 alternative economic initiatives based in Honduras to share learnings, strategies, and experiences. Thanks to who helped us facilitate the session, and to all of the organizations who participated. The future of Mesoamerica will be built from the ground up, and we are so inspired to see it happening.

El 14 de mayo, tuvimos el honor de organizar un intercambio de conocimientos en la comunidad de Jutiapa, Honduras, como parte de nuestros proyectos apoyados por la Fundación Ford y la Alianza para el Clima y el Uso de la Tierra (CLUA). El evento reunió a 16 organizaciones comunitarias de toda la región y a 4 iniciativas económicas alternativas con sede en Honduras para compartir aprendizajes, estrategias y experiencias. Gracias a Rubén Gallozzi, que nos ayudó a moderar la sesión, y a todas las organizaciones que participaron. El futuro de Mesoamérica se construirá desde la base, y nos inspira mucho ver cómo se está haciendo realidad.

Telluride! We'll see you tomorrow for a screening of Rooted and an amazing panel alongside Montezuma Land Conservancy and Patagonia Telluride.

Really looking forward to this screening of our short film Rooted, accompanied by a robust panel of incredible humans. This week on Weds, May 20, please join us at Patagonia Telluride for an event that will dive into Indigenous sovereignty, land access, the Indigenous history of this region, and what Indigeneity in the outdoors looks like today.

Our Executive Director Travis Custer will facilitate what is sure to be a great panel discussion including our Cross-Cultural Programs Coordinator Wyatt Wilson, Jesse Littlebird, Ti Eversole, Ximena Leon of Telluride Foundation, and Dr. Len Necefer.

Doors open at 5:30pm.
