Sunday, July 5, our Lions Club took our pancake crew to Red Feather Lakes to do a pancake breakfast for the Red Feather Lakes Lions Club. They provided a great facility and manned the money and inside clean-up. This is a major fundraiser for the Red Feather Lakes Lions Club and we were happy to assist! We served over 250 people and more than half of them came back for seconds - and thirds!! Good job, Lions!!

Lion Savanah is at the Special Olympics in Minneapolis this week. This is a video of the opening ceremonies. You can see Savy at about 1minute, 10 seconds into the video. Way to go, Savanah!
I used my phone to video from the TV so it's not the greatest, but still awesome!

Annette Zacharias, Executive Director of the Family Housing Network, gave a program at out meeting today and received a donation from our club for their program from our club president, David Hartman. We are blessed to have Annette and Jennifer McRae from FHN as members of our club.

We had a great program at our meeting this week. Megan Scremin, CEO of Special Olympics Colorado and Lion Savanah Overturf who is also a Special Olympian, gave a great program to our club. Past District Governor, Denise Clynes and Club President David Hartman presented Megan with a check from our club. Thank you both!!

Our Lions Club served pancakes to the students at Shepardson Elementary School on Wednesday, May 13th, in honor of National Bike to School Day. It was originally scheduled for last week, but 8 inches of snow cancelled school! Needless to say, it was a great day!
We served about 350 students, parents and staff in about 30 minutes!! Many of them bicycled to school, some rode the school bus, but all were welcome to participate.
