Please note: The Butterfly House will be closed Sept. 8–25 while we wrap up the final phase of a roof maintenance project.

During the closure, our butterfly collection will be in the expert care of our partners at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, while our horticulture team continues caring for our tropical plants.

We'll keep you posted on any changes to the timeline. Thanks for your patience as we give the Butterfly House a little TLC! 🦋

🌲 What happened to the trees in Northwest Grove?

If you’ve noticed some missing limbs, our conifers have had a little haircut! ✂️

Our Horticulture team is lightly limbing up the trees to make room for a new understory planting this fall—and we’re talking dry-shade plants. 🙌

The look actually mimics nature: as woodland trees mature and reach for sunlight, they naturally shed lower branches, opening up the forest floor for other plants to take root.

So, if the trees look a little bare, just know that we’re making room for what comes next. 👀🌱

Thank you to everyone who came out to Garden a'Fare last Friday, Aug. 21! What a magical evening hosted by the Friends of The Gardens on Spring Creek.

You dined 🍽, you danced 💃🏽(thanks FoCo Motown R***e), you watched art being created 🎨 and you raised funds to support The Gardens' Horticulture Department and a new crevice garden. 🌱
