Dear Sweaty Bands fans,
The Sweaty Bands brand has grown up in the running industry. We started participating in marathon expos as a way to reach more potential customers back in 2009. As a result, we fell in love with the running community. As so many female runners also fell in love with our product, we kept finding more and more marathons across the country to participate in. In 2010, we could finally afford to go to the Boston Marathon Expo. We, of course, became enamored with not only the marathon, but with the entire city of Boston itself, and have been back every year since. We love it not only because it's the largest event we attend annually, but simply because it's so rich with tradition, stories, and passion for the sport of running. It is just an amazing experience!
We were so sad to see and hear see the news of what took place on Monday afternoon. Because Boston has given so much to us over the years, Sweaty Bands is eager to support and give back to the Boston community in our own little way. We ask that you purchase one of our Boston Sweaty Bands and wear it proudly to aid in our efforts and show your own continued support. Wear it in your next marathon, half marathon, 5K, whatever. If you don't run, wear it to your next yoga class, tennis match, day at the beach, or wherever you wear your Sweaty Bands. Each time you put it on, please remember to stay Boston Strong!
Sweaty Bands will donate all proceeds from the sales of the four current Boston styles, while supplies last, to the One Fund Boston, Inc. We are also creating three new styles, Boston Strong-Two Face, Boston Strong-Black, and United We Run, for which all proceeds will also be donated. Please be patient as these new styles are currently being manufactured and may take longer to ship. In addition to our customers, we hope that all of our retail partners select some of these Boston styles on their next purchase so they may also show their support. We know this is just one small step, but united we truly believe we can make a difference.
Sincerely,
Donna and Doug Browning
