Over 80 Human Resource (HR) Professionals from all six brigades of the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) participated in training on the HR Core Competency, Man the Force, from 23-24 March 2022. This training centered on building and maintaining the personnel combat power component of an organization in order to sustain combat operations.

The 101st HR Company provided tailored training on DCIPS/Casualty Reporting and Replacement Operations, a critical training task in preparation for the 101st Airborne Division’s (AASLT) upcoming 21-day training exercise, Operational Lethal Eagle II.

Man the Force ensures an uninterrupted flow of Soldiers to the battlefield and requires accurate accounting for all military Service Members, DOD Civilians, and Contractor personnel. Properly manned units are vital to assuring the successful completion of mission objectives as a strategic element of national policy, enhancing predictability, and ensuring commanders have the people necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Great dialogue and questions from unit HR professionals ensured this training was a tremendous success! HR Professionals were provided a clear delineation on Brigade and Battalion S1 roles and responsibilities during Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO), with simultaneous discussion that these roles and processes may require adjustments during heightened combat operations and in states of degraded communications.

Training with fellow HR Professionals proves it is always a great day to be a HR leader in the U.S. Army and AG Corps!
