गहिरो दुःखका साथ जानकारी गराइन्छ कि हाम्रो प्रिय आमा धन माया गुरुङज्यूको १०३ वर्षको उमेरमा ३० जुन २०२६ का दिन साँझ ५:३८ बजे Emmanuel Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska मा शान्तिपूर्वक देहावसान भएको छ।

उहाँको जन्म भुटान, साम्ची जिल्ला, टेन्डु ब्लक, खेनटोंग गाउँ, घर नं. JG-352 मा भएको थियो।
सन् १९९२ अप्रिल मा भुटानबाट विस्थापित भई बेलडाँगी-२ शरणार्थी शिविर, सेक्टर B-1, हट नं. ४२ मा बसोबास गर्नुभयो। त्यसपछि ३० अक्टोबर २०११ मा अमेरिका आइ बसोबास गर्नुभएको थियो।

उहाँ बौद्ध धर्ममा आस्थावान, दयालु, ममतामयी तथा सबैका लागि प्रेरणाको स्रोत हुनुहुन्थ्यो। उहाँको सरल जीवन, प्रेम, त्याग, आशीर्वाद र संस्कार सधैं हाम्रो हृदयमा अमर रहनेछन्।

🤲🌱With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and family matriarch, Dhan Maya Gurung (Bird Lho), at the age of 103.

🤲🌿🌱Mrs. Dhan Maya Gurung was born in Khentong Village, Tendu Block, House No. JG-352, Samchi, Bhutan. Following the forced displacement from Bhutan in April 1992, she resided in Beldangi-2 Refugee Camp, Sector B-1, Hut No. 42. She later immigrated to the United States on October 30, 2011, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by her loving family.

🙏🏻 A devoted Buddhist, she lived a life of compassion, humility, kindness, and unwavering love. Her wisdom, sacrifices, and blessings will forever remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

🌿She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Late Shabir Gurung, and is survived by five sons, four daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.

The untimely passing of our respected members of the Bhutanese community in Nebraska (sister and brother) has left us in profound grief. We pray for the eternal peace of their noble souls and offer this tribute with respect and sorrow.

🌿 Late Kubir Gurung (Date of Birth: 02/15/1970) – Brother

🪷🪷 Both of them passed away on the morning of May 10, 2026, at Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.
