🌟 Did You Know? We're More Than Just a Food Bank! 🌟

At the Fort Bragg Food Bank, we're working to be a one-stop shop for our community! ❤️

Along with nutritious food, we're always happy to accept donations of:
👕 Clean, gently used clothing
🏡 Usable household items
🔌 Small appliances in good working order
🧸 And other everyday essentials that can help our neighbors thrive.

Hangers are especially needed!

Your donations don't just clear out a closet—they help a family furnish a home, help someone get back on their feet, or make daily life a little easier. Every item has the potential to become exactly what someone else has been searching for.

If it's clean, usable, and in good working condition, we'd love to give it a second life right here in our community!

Together, we're building more than full pantries—we're building a stronger, more connected Fort Bragg. 💙

Today was an exciting day at Mendo Food Network / Fort Bragg Food Bank as we officially welcomed our new Executive Director, Rachel Clark! 🎉

Rachel hit the ground running on her very first day, jumping right into learning our programs, meeting the team, and getting a firsthand look at the work that helps feed our communities every day. We can't wait to see all the great things ahead as she begins this new chapter with us!

While it's certainly bittersweet to say goodbye to our longtime Executive Director, Amanda Friscia, we're incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our organization and the community. Her leadership has helped shape who we are today, and we wish her nothing but the very best in her next adventure. 💙

A heartfelt thank you, once again, to Steven Dunlap for his generous donation of beautiful Central Valley peaches and fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes. Thanks to Steve's continued generosity, our seniors will be able to enjoy these delicious, farm-fresh treats during this morning's senior distribution.

We are so grateful for community members like Steve who help make fresh, healthy food available to our neighbors. If you're joining us this morning, we can't wait to see you! ❤️🌿

Today, we celebrate Jim on his last day before a well-earned retirement! ❤️

For years, Jim has been a steady presence, a hard worker, and a friendly face to everyone who walked through our doors. His dedication, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand have helped feed countless families and made a lasting impact on our community.

While we're going to miss seeing him around every day, we couldn't be happier for him as he begins this exciting new chapter. Jim, thank you for everything you've done for Fort Bragg Food Bank and the people we serve. You have truly made a difference.

St. Michael & All Angels Church is once again serving up a delicious FREE community meal this Sunday, July 19, from 4:00–5:00 PM!
Everyone is welcome—whether you need a meal, could use a break from cooking, or simply want to enjoy a warm dinner. Come by during curbside distribution and pick up a meal for yourself or your family.

🚜💪 Move over, boys... the ladies are driving the forklifts now!

Huge congratulations to our amazing team! 🎉 Volunteer Coordinator Ronda Wasco, Pantry Coordinator Kristin Hawk, and Deputy Director Rachelle Sutherland are now officially forklift certified thanks to the expert instruction (and patience! 😄) of our Head of Warehouse, Jim DiMauro.

From sorting donations to moving thousands of pounds of food, we're ready to roll—literally! 🚜❤️

This is just one more way we're building a stronger, more versatile team to better serve our community. When you see these ladies behind the wheel of a forklift, you know we're hard at work making sure food gets where it needs to go.

Here's to strong women, great mentors, and an incredible team that's always ready to get the job done.

In an effort to reduce waste, reuse, and up cycle, we would gladly receive your donation of used bread bags. We will be using them for our dog and cat food program when we can. Fort Bragg Food Bank strives to do our part to reduce plastic waste to keep our waterways clean.

The Northern Rural Energy Network will be at the Fort Bragg Food Bank on Wednesday, July 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Bring your most recent PG&E bill and receive an Energy Efficiency Kit valued at over $100! The kit includes helpful items like LED light bulbs, a weatherization kit, an advanced power strip, and more to help lower your energy costs.
Don't have your PG&E bill? No problem! You can still complete an application in person, and your free kit can be shipped directly to your home.
