SAFETY WARNING!!!

A study called "Adolescent and Young Adult Gender Dysphoria Outcomes Study or AYAGDOS" is currently recruiting transgender youth and young adults. Multiple trans-led organizations and advocates are urging families not to participate, due to serious concerns about the researchers involved and how this data may be used to undermine gender-affirming care.

This is not a neutral or harmless study.

A link to a longer piece explaining what’s going on, who’s behind it, and why families should be cautious before participating in any trans-related research is in the comments.

Please share so families can make informed, protective decisions for their kids. 🏳️‍⚧️

Happy new year to all our followers! MCSSP has been going through some important updates and has been dark on social media as a result. Soon we will have a robust website and plan to take ourselves off social media. Rest assured we are here, fully functioning, and doing all we can to educate, protect and support our q***r community and allies. Sending love and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

**LINK HAS BEEN FIXED**
It’s Giving Tuesday! ❤️ 🧡💛💚💙💜

Today we’re asking our community to stand with MCSSP as we continue creating allyship, connection, and life-changing support for LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, families and allies. Every donation helps us reach more people, expand our programs, and make sure no one has to navigate tough moments alone.

✨ If MCSSP has touched your life—or you believe in our mission—please consider making a gift today. No amount is too small. If you can, please consider making a monthly donation…

➡️ Donate & help build a more inclusive future.
Thank you for being part of this community. 💛🏳️‍🌈

🎉 We’re just days away from our 100 Women Strong Mendocino Coast event — and we can’t wait to see you there!

🗓 Thursday, October 23, 2025
🕕 Event: 6:00–7:30 PM | 🍷 Snacks & wine start at 5:30 PM
📍 Eagles Hall, Fort Bragg

Join us in celebrating and supporting three incredible local nonprofits:
🌈 Mendocino County Safe Space Project
💃 Mendocino Dance Project
💛 Redwood Coast Seniors

🌟 Your $100 donation helps amplify their impact — and any amount raised beyond our $10,000 goal will be shared equally between the other two organizations. That means every dollar matters and strengthens our community!

💵 Donations can be made online until the event begins (https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=RFGATF6M8V3AY), and we’ll also accept cash or check at the door.

🚗 Parking is street only, so carpooling is encouraged! We’ll have a drop-off area on Alder Street for those with limited mobility.

🗳 All attendees will receive a ballot to vote after the presentations — and a nomination form to suggest nonprofits for the next event. Even if you choose not to donate, we’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and join our email list!

🍩 Enjoy light refreshments donated by Harvest Market, Safeway, Drop In Donut, and the The Community Foundation of Mendocino County.
🍷 Handley Cellars and a private donor are generously providing wine and
🍺 North Coast Brewing Company is generously providing beer
🥤 Non-alcoholic options will also be available.

📸 Clara Estelle Media will be capturing the evening! Prefer not to be photographed? Just let Clara know when you arrive.

Let’s come together to celebrate community, generosity, and the power of collective giving. 💪❤️

✨ Contribute. Connect. Vote.
