Pacific Textile Arts

Pacific Textile Arts Pacific Textile Arts is a nonprofit educational organization existing to support, celebrate and share the fiber arts. Located in Ft.

Bragg, CA, we have a small campus where monthly exhibits, classes, sales of yarn and books, textile library take place. Pacific Textile Arts

Pacific Textile Arts is a comfortable place to learn all the time honored textile arts and crafts practiced through the ages. Our library contains more than 2,000 volumes devoted to weaving, spinning, dyeing, quilting, crochet, knitting, embroidery, sewing,

paper making, book making and much more. We teach children where fibers come from, how to spin and weave them and we display their work yearly. We are planning adult classes to be held in our newly refurbished weaving studio. Visit us at: 450 Alger Street,

Create a small collaged art quilt on any subject that appeals to you. There are no patterns or prerequisites and this class is appropriate (and fun) for all levels of sewing experience. Use a photo of your chosen subject for inspiration, and translate it to an individualized freehand collage of fabrics, trims and embellishments. The elements can be glued, hand sewn or machine sewn together.

I’ve been an art quilter for 30 years, and show my work regularly in quilt shows, galleries and museums across the country. As a retired teacher, it’s the teaching aspect of quilting that brings me the most joy.
