The board of directors is sad to announce the passing of Gary Markley on June 12th.

Gary had been battling Lymphoma and was feeling ill for the last sixth months. About three weeks before his passing Cassie, his daughter, brought him to stay at her home, so blessedly, his family got to spend time with him before he went.

Many of us have wonderful memories of Gary - please come and join us tomorrow at the General Meeting and Potluck at 5:30 if you'd like to share them.

Speaking for myself (Rose the secretary of MCGMS), Gary wasn't someone who loved being in charge, he just wanted the club to survive and hopefully thrive again someday.

Tomorrow we are asking our members if they can help us with upcoming events this summer - I know that Gary would love to see an increase in participation! Please considering honoring him by getting involved.

Years ago Shilah found a spectacular jade boulder at pothole crossing. Jeff just donated the 14 pound heal cut to the club. We’ll add it to the silent auction in our labor day show.
