2025 Camp FGL BSA Shooting Sports Extravaganza!!! The Scout honed their marksmanship skills this past weekend. They shot Bows, .22 rifles, shotgun and clays, tomahawks, and throwing knives. They did an amazing job setting up camp and their meal were great. It was a great time and there first cold weather campout.

Troop 27 did an amazing job assisting at the National Infantry Museum on Memorial Day. These young men assisted with organizing and preparing flags for retirement. They also helped during the memorial paver unveilings with paver rubs. This fine group of young men did an outstanding job honoring our Fallen Heros and representing the Fort Benning community.

Flag retirement ceremony will be held at The National Infantry Museum on 11 November 2024 @ 1200 pm. The location is the fire pit by the historic train.

We had a great time a the Talladega. I am so impressed by this of young men and leaders they did so amazing. Thank you to all the adult leaders who came campout. All of you made this an amazing Scout event.

Scouts and Parents I hope everyone had a great summer!!!! I can't wait for the Scouting year to begin. Our first Scouts BSA Troop 27 Fort Moore meeting is on 21 August 2024 @1830. I look forward to seeing all of current and new Scouts. Always be Perpared.

Give us your tattered, your torn, your worn out flags that once flew free. Scouts BSA Troop 27 is collecting flags for our annual Memorial Day retirement ceremony at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 27 at the National Infantry Museum, 1775 Legacy Way.
You may drop flags at the Scout Hut on 1st Cav. Div. Rd, at any of the community centers around post or by bringing them to the event. We welcome all patriots to join us to learn more about flag retirement and help us retire flags (we will have hundreds). Please RSVP to [email protected] if you are bringing a large number of flags or volunteers.

The scouts and leaders of Troop 27 were saddened to hear of the passing of Col. (R) Ralph Puckett this morning. As an Eagle Scout himself, Col. Puckett was a strong supporter of the scouting program. We were honored that he joined us for our Centennial last year. Our prayers and thoughts are with his wife and family.
