🚸✨ New Pedestrian Safety Improvements Installed! ✨🚸

This week, the City of Fort Atkinson installed new Rapid Flashing Beacons at the intersection of N. Main Street and N. Water Street East to help improve pedestrian safety.

These flashing beacons alert drivers when someone is crossing the street, increasing visibility and encouraging motorists to yield to pedestrians.

âś… Pedestrians: Press the button before crossing.
âś… Drivers: Watch for flashing lights and be prepared to stop for pedestrians.

A special thank you to City Electrician Nick Armstrong for installing the new safety lights and helping make this important safety improvement possible. We would also like to thank the Fort Atkinson Community Foundation for their help in funding pedestrian safety projects throughout the City, including this one!

Together, we can make our streets safer for everyone! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🚗

We are so proud to have provided grant funding to Community Action Coalition For South Central Wisconsin, Inc. to support both the launch of the Jefferson County Financial Empowerment Center, and the continued training of the certified counselors.

Check out the stats they shared in honor of the 1st anniversary! What incredible details to highlight, and we were so grateful for the testimonials shared by two individuals who have received FREE support from the program.

Thank you to the CAC team and Jefferson County, Wisconsin for all you do to ensure to continued success of the FEC (the only one in a rural community in the entire country!).
