On this Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. As Scouts, we remember that duty to country means leading with respect, service, and gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy every day. 🇺🇸

We are honored to be able to take part in Memorial Day activities around our community. 🇺🇸

CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THESE SCOUTS ARE COOKIN!!!! Saturday breakfast they made sausage, pancakes, and eggs. Dinner was AMAZING! Hash brown potatoes with cube steak and peppers and onions. For dessert the scouts decided to make 2 cobblers. A warm bubbly peach cobbler and a chocolate cherry cobbler. Unfortunately, the desserts disappeared so quickly, there's no photos.

Our Scouts had a great time the Turning Point District, Scouting America, Camporee @ Fort William Henry. They learned about some of their local history. Later in the day they worked on a conservation project, helping to plant Red Maple and White Pine seedlings.

“Don’t complain, camp in the rain” ~slogan on our T-shirts

Well we didn’t hide the part about it raining during most camping trips. 🤭
The camporee this past weekend may have been a little wet 🌧️ but memories were still made, new adventures had, and good food consumed.

Summer camp is coming next. ⛺️

This past weekend we partnered with the Granville Cub Scouts - Pack 6044 (Webelos) for a service project at the Granville Youth League. Their pavilions were in need of some fresh paint 🎨

Our scouts helped get the pavilions ready for the opening day this weekend. Be sure to watch the parade this Sunday at noon & when you are down at the fields check out how nice the pavilions and the sheds look. 👀

(We are not sure where the most paint went - the wood or our scouts 🤣)

Great day for a hike! Haystack Mtn ⛰️ in Pawlet is a challenge, but so worth it when you get to the top and can see for miles! One scout even made a meal at the top for his cooking merit badge.

3.5 hours
Thousands of steps
Several miles
Great memories
Possibility of naps this afternoon 😉

Great start to the day ☀️

Great discounted opportunities! ⛷️ 🏂 ❄️
