This Thanksgiving, we remember: Gratitude isn’t born from ease—it’s forged through endurance.

Four centuries ago, weary settlers gave thanks not for abundance, but for Providence. Around that rough-hewn table, men like William Brewster passed down faith, courage, and conviction to the next generation.

Today, around campfires, dinner tables, and church pews, something quiet—but powerful—is stirring again. A quiet revival is rising. Men are returning to their roles as mentors, fathers, and spiritual leaders.

This Thanksgiving, gather at the table. Open the Word. Give thanks. And remember the legacy we're called to carry forward.

Because the table still matters. And the next generation is watching.

Today, is the final day to order a Chicken-Q Fundraiser plate. You can pick it up in the Fellowship Hall following the Troop Sunday service - November 9th. Let’s support our American Heritage Girls Troop!

Don’t miss out, orders close November 3rd!
Support American Heritage Girls Troop GA3418 by grabbing a delicious $10 Chicken-Q lunch plate (chicken quarter, chips, baked beans, and a roll).

Proceeds help cover troop expenses and make camping trips more affordable for our girls.

▫️ Pick-Up: November 9th in the New Providence Fellowship Hall, immediately after the 10:30 am Worship Service.

▫️ If you’d like to buy a plate but won’t be picking it up, please include a note that says “not picking up plates” after listing the girl(s) who shared the fundraiser with you. This helps our prep team know not to prepare that plate.

This morning, a group of homeschoolers from our Troop volunteered at the Circle of Care Food Distribution. Some of our boys are long-time volunteers here, while for others, it was their very first day!

Together, they helped distribute over 10,000 pounds of meat, produce, and pantry staples to families in our community facing food insecurity.

It was awesome to see our Trailmen of all ages working side by side, serving others, and making a real impact!

This weekend our Troop kicked off the new year with an unforgettable adventure on Cumberland Island National Seashore!

They pitched their tents under the canopy of ancient live oaks, hiked sandy trails, spotted wild horses, and enjoyed God's handiwork along the seashore. Around the campsite, they grew in fellowship, learned new skills, and were reminded of God's creation and faithfulness.

A huge thank you to our leaders and parents who made this trip possible. We're excited for all the adventures and growth this year will bring!

As we look back, images of the Twin Towers strike differently this year. The attacks on those towers came from without—and in the wake of tragedy, our nation stood united. We celebrated heroism: firefighters running toward danger, and men like Todd Beamer who gathered others and declared, “Let’s roll!”

In the past few weeks, we’ve faced twin tragedies of another kind—not from without, but from within. Born of anger, hatred, and division, they grieve our hearts and fracture our communities.

But the answer remains the same. Courageous men willing to rise:
👉Men who stand tall.
👉 Men who model strength, courage, and conviction.
👉Men who speak truth and love well.

Because that is what masculine strength is: bravery harnessed by wisdom, action tethered by self-restraint, self-assertion marked by self-control, and honor clothed in humility. It is willing to risk all, yet is tempered by a learned discernment. It's strength is characterized by both self-denial and self-respect. It is possessed by a man who has been taught to forgive his enemies, but also to be angry and sin not. At it's core, Biblical Masculinity is defined in a man who loves God with all of his heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loves his neighbor as himself.

This is the calling of Trail Life USA—to empower men to guide the next generation of boys to become godly men who honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and stand strong when it matters most.

Pray with us for God to raise up leaders, turn our hearts back to Him, and heal our nation.

👉Together, let’s raise heroes.

We were considering contacting a museum. Between the glow of his screen and the imprint in his gaming chair, we thought he was turning into a fossilized exhibit titled “Teenager in His Natural Habitat.”

Then a friend dragged him to Trail Life.

Now? He’s got a full-blown case of Apathy Dysphoria (AD).

Symptoms may include:
- Curiosity and ambition where apathy used to live
- Outdoor exploration that doesn't need Wi-Fi
- A growing intolerance for endless screentime
- Household items suspiciously tied up in knots
- And a serious case of zero-patience-for-buffering

Since catching AD, my son slips away to finish projects, hikes for fun, and moves with a purpose that makes the rest of us rethink our routine.

⚠️ Warning: Apathy Dysphoria is highly contagious—siblings, neighbors, even dads aren’t safe.
