As a survivor of domestic violence, Gale wanted to create an organization that offered services that were not accessible to her when she needed it. Although there are several shelters in the area, sadly, Gale realized there is still a need for more, especially in the eastern sector of the Dallas metropo
litan area. The number of women and children affected by domestic violence is staggering, with new cases being reported daily. is committed to serving as a beacon of light for those who are victims or have been victims of domestic violence and need resources that will help them to recover and rebound in a way that they can still live a fulfilling life. The shelter provides basic shelter needs as well as comprehensive recovery services for shelter clients. Services include, but not limited to,shelter, counseling, and education and job search advising. Because pets are sometimes abused in domestic violence situations and often have to be left behind once a woman decides to leave or escape, Gale wanted to ensure that families could bring their pets as well, therefore,the shelter is designed to accommodate pets, as shelter guidelines permit. is dedicated to providing assistance that will help women, children, and their pets rebound from the bo***ge of domestic violence.
