On tomorrow, check out the Resource Stewardship Scout Ranger Program and earn a newly redesigned patch upon completion of the program!

Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Eagle Scouts can earn a recognition certificate and a special patch for completing 1️⃣0️⃣ hours of service in national parks as a participant in the program. Scouts can participate in educational and volunteer service projects through a troop, event, travel, or 🏕️ camp experience at national park sites.

Examples of qualifying organized educational programs include the following:

🤠 Ranger-guided interpretive tours

🤠 Junior Ranger programs

🤠 Any other official NPS education program (campfire program, ranger-led hike, etc.)

We had a great time honoring our Veterans tonight with a reverent flag retirement ceremony. We thank all veterans for their service including the many in our Pack, Troops, and Chartered Organization - American Legion Post 591.

We had a great day at the park last weekend meeting families interested in scouting! If you didn’t get to come out and are still interested in scouting in Forney, we’d love to see you at one of our meetings! We meet on Tuesday nights from 6-7p at the Forney Scout Hut (305 U.S. Hwy 80). We’re off to a great Scouting year!!

Our scouts had a fun Back to Scouting meeting a couple weeks ago!

TODAY is the last day to register for RS Twilight Camp! Today is the last day for early registration, but if we do not have enough youth registered by 11p tonight, we will not be able to have camp. This is just a few pics of the fun we have at Twilight Camp. The kids have a blast with their friends, work on some scouting requirements, and get out into the great outdoors! Join us for a week of fun! This is a district / council event, so we will have archery, BBs, and slingshots - and they cannot earn those adventures unless they are at a district / council event. We had a great time at our campout this weekend! The Forney Fire Department came out and talked to our scouts about fire safety and showed them their Fire Truck and tools. Our Webelos practiced their knife and cooking skills.
