🌍 Happy Menstrual Hygiene Day (MHD)!

Dreamers Hope Foundation wishes you a powerful and hopeful celebration filled with dignity, respect, and empowerment.
As we mark this day, we also officially announce the launch of our Empower Her Project coming this month June a project created to support teenage adolescent mothers with the understanding, care, and opportunities they truly deserve. Every woman and adolescent mother deserves to live with dignity, not struggle in silence.

In our first phase, we will conduct a community survey to identify the real difficulties teenage adolescent mothers face in society during and after pregnancy. We aim to understand key challenges such as access to health information and support, stigma and discrimination, financial and social barriers, struggles related to menstrual hygiene before, during, and after pregnancy, and the gaps that prevent them from receiving guidance and practical assistance when they need it most.

This is not just awareness it is empowerment and action. The data we gather will guide our next steps to create stronger community support systems, inform advocacy efforts, and help teenage adolescent mothers move forward with confidence and safety. Join the movement and stand with us as we choose hope, dignity, and real change because Empow erHer means more than words; it becomes a life impact.

Dreamers Hope Foundation took part in a community clean-up campaign to commemorate World Biodiversity Day on the 22 of May in collaboration with MINPED, alongside other CSOs at the Limbe Botanical Garden. 🌿💚

This year’s theme:Acting Locally for Global Impact inspired us to take practical steps to protect biodiversity and preserve nature for future generations.

As part of the sensitization, we also discussed plastic pollution how single-use plastics contaminate our land and waterways, harm wildlife, and threaten the ecosystems we all depend on. By reducing plastic use, properly disposing waste, and supporting cleaner communities, we can help safeguard biodiversity. 🌱✨

Happy New Week!

As you step into the new days, let this week be one of awareness, clean living, and taking smart precautions because the image reminds us that hantavirus is linked to rodents and can spread mainly through exposure to contaminated dust, droppings, urine, or saliva. Choose health and safety by keeping your surroundings clean, avoiding contact with rodents, and disinfecting areas properly, so you can move through the week with confidence and peace of mind. Wishing you a blessed, productive, and protected week ahead!

Did you know

Health is wealth because it is the foundation of every meaningful achievement in life—money and education matter much less when the body and mind are constantly weak or sick. A healthy person can work, learn, and enjoy life with confidence, while illness can reduce strength, slow progress, and bring heavy medical expenses. Health also includes mental well-being, since stress, poor sleep, and harmful habits affect immunity and concentration. That is why health should be seen as an investment: eat balanced meals, exercise regularly, practice good hygiene, rest well, avoid smoking and drugs, and manage stress. In short, health is the greatest treasure because it shapes how well we live today and how strong we will be for tomorrow.
Happy weekend and stay healthy

📅 Planning & Coordination for the Day of the African Child 2026

On 21 April 2026, a meeting was held at the Delegation of Social Affairs, Limbe, bringing together several Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to plan and coordinate activities for the Day of the African Child 2026.

The session began at 10:00 AM, with full participation. The main focus was to develop a structured program, assign clear responsibilities, and ensure effective collaboration among all partners.

Following up on this important initiative, Dreamers Hope Foundation attended the second meeting on 12 May 2026. The meeting started at 9:00 AM and served as a continued platform for alignment, coordination, and strengthening partnership activities for the commemoration.

We remain committed to working with all partners to ensure the voices and rights of African children are celebrated and protected. 💛

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers out there! 💐

Yesterday, I took time to honor the strength, love, and resilience of mothers who keep their families standing, even through conflict, poverty, and uncertainty.

At Dreamers Hope Foundation, I see this truth every day: when a mother is empowered, children gain hope, communities gain stability, and futures are transformed.

That is why, since our founding in 2019, I have been committed to supporting the growing vulnerabilities of women and children in Cameroon. The reason we exist is personal to me I know what it means to receive educational support that can turn adversity into opportunity.

Through our empowerment, education, and sustainable development projects, we aim to equip women and children with mentorship and the resources they need to escape poverty and grow into self-reliant leaders.

Our team is developing a project for teenage adolescent mothers in the NW and SW affected by the anglophone crisis, who had to drop out of school due to teenage pregnancy, poverty, and lack of skills. We plan to launch this project before June, so these young mothers can receive the support, mentorship, and resources they need to rebuild their futures.

To every mother: your sacrifices do not go unnoticed. Your endurance is remarkable. Your influence is powerful.

Today, I celebrate you, and I promise that Dreamers Hope Foundation will keep working with purpose toward our vision: a world where women and children live up to their full potential, discover their purpose, and help their communities grow.

Happy Mother’s Day, with love and gratitude. ✨

Many people ask, “Why are there so many adolescent teenage mothers?”
We need to be honest about the bigger reasons because this isn’t about girls being careless.

Lack of sexual education means many adolescents don’t get accurate information about their bodies, consent, contraception, or how to prevent pregnancy. Without that knowledge, “choice” is limited.

Poverty also plays a major role. When families struggle to meet basic needs, girls may face pressure, transactional relationships, exploitation, or early unions often for survival, not for desire.

And in places affected by the Anglophone crisis, instability can make it worse: disruption of schooling, displacement, insecurity, and weakened access to healthcare and protection. When young people can’t stay in school or access support, the risks increase.

So if we want fewer adolescent pregnancies—and better outcomes for adolescent mothers—we must address the root causes:
- comprehensive sexual education
- access to affordable healthcare and contraception
- protection from exploitation and violence
- support to keep girls in school
- psychosocial support and safe services in crisis-affected areas

Adolescent mothers are not to blame.
We are responsible for building systems of care, protection, and education.

WE SAY NO TO SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Today, Dreamers Hope Foundation came together with other CSOs and MINPROFF in a powerful, solidarity-driven walk from UB Junction to Checkpoint BUEA a march filled with determination, heavy hearts, and a united cry for justice.

With emotions running high, we walked as one collective force, speaking out against sexual assault and child abuse, demanding accountability, and refusing to let survivors suffer in silence. Along the route, Dreamers Hope Foundation and our partners actively engaged the public, sharing and distributing several messages to raise awareness, reinforce the importance of consent and protection, and encourage everyone to be an active bystander.

This walk was more than a procession it was Dreamers Hope Foundation’s commitment to advocating for safer communities, where every child and every person is protected, respected, and supported.
