If you bank with OceanFirst, there’s an easy way to help support the Rotary Club of Forked River and the work we do throughout our community.

At this months Tuesday Night Meeting our guest speaker was Heather Butera who told us all about the volunteer organization called "ReClam The Bay." Heather told us all about the mission of the organization which is to raise awareness about the invaluable services shellfish provide to our environment and communities in the bays of Ocean County. For more information about the organization and how they raise thousands of clams from tiny "seeds" go to www.reclamthebay.org It should be noted that Heather is a fellow Rotarian with the Barnegat club.

You Never Know Where You’ll Find a Future Rotarian!

On the evening of September 11th, members of the Forked River Rotary Club were picking up flags from our Walmart route following our 9/11 remembrance display.

As part of our Rent-A-Flag Program, American flags line Route 9 and are displayed at participating businesses throughout our community on designated patriotic holidays and observances.
While a Rotarian, Joyce, was collecting the flags at Walmart, something unexpected happened. This young man was working nearby with a construction landscaping crew when, without being asked, he simply came over and started helping her gather the flags.

Joyce was surprised and impressed by his kindness. She thanked him, told him a little about Rotary and our Flag Program, and asked if she could take his picture and share it. He graciously agreed.
It was a simple gesture, but one that seemed especially meaningful on September 11th — and a wonderful example of the spirit behind Rotary’s motto: “Service Above Self.”

You never know… we may have just met a future Rotarian!

Join us for an enjoyable evening of fellowship, local history, and great company!

The Rotary Club of Forked River invites our members and guests to our Evening Rotary Meeting on Tuesday, August 25, at 6:00 PM at the Lacey Schoolhouse Museum.

At our next Rotary Tuesday Night Meeting. We're pleased to welcome Elaine McGuire, who will share the fascinating history of Lacey Township and the people and events that helped shape our community.

A casual supper will be served for $15 per person. Soft drinks, b**r and w**e are all BYOB.

This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a fun evening with fellow Rotarians, guests, and friends. All members are encouraged to bring a friend!

The Rotary Club of Forked River was pleased to welcome Donna Carlson, Dawn Samaritano, and Jenny Allen from Ocean's Harbor House as guest speakers at our Tuesday meeting.

We learned about the organization's mission to provide housing, support services, and opportunities for vulnerable and at-risk youth throughout our community. Their dedication to helping young people overcome challenges and build brighter futures is truly inspiring.

In recognition of their outstanding work, the Club was proud to present Ocean's Harbor House with a donation of $500 to support their important mission.

Thank you to our speakers for sharing the incredible impact Ocean's Harbor House is making every day!
