Introducing… Mountains 🏔️ for Meals 🍛!
A sister initiative to Mountains for Medicine, born from the same mission: to meet needs, restore dignity, and love people well.
In the slums of Nairobi, many families are surviving on just $2 a day. For countless children, school is not only a place to learn, it’s the only place they are guaranteed a meal.
Through Mountains for Meals, we are helping provide daily nourishment for these students. Right now, meals include warm porridge for breakfast and rice topped with beans for lunch. Simple, but sacred.
And this is not a distant story to us, we have seen it with our own eyes. On our most recent trip, we had the honor of serving these very meals to the children. We sat with them, laughed with them, and witnessed both their joy and their quiet resilience. We were welcomed beyond the classroom, stepping into their homes, sharing in moments of prayer, and standing in the sacred spaces where faith meets daily survival.
Yet even in the middle of hunger, love shows itself. Some children quietly set aside half their food—not because they are full, but because someone at home is still waiting to eat. A sibling. A younger brother or sister. A shared struggle carried on small shoulders.
This initiative exists for them.
Because no child should have to choose between their own hunger and someone else’s.
Because nourishment fuels not just bodies, but futures.
Because compassion must move beyond words and into action.
Mountains for Meals is more than feeding programs—it is hope on a plate, consistency in uncertain places, and a reminder that they are seen.
Join us as we serve, give, and build something that reaches beyond the classroom and into the heart of every home.
