El Pueblo se enorgullece de unirse a la Coalición de Mississippi contra la Violencia Doméstica Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence(MCADV) para el "Jueves Morado" (Purple Thursday), en el marco del Mes de la Concientización sobre la Violencia Doméstica. Nos vestimos de morado para mostrar nuestro apoyo a las sobrevivientes y nuestro compromiso de construir comunidades más seguras y fuertes.

Todos conocemos a alguien. Todos tenemos un papel que desempeñar para poner fin a la violencia doméstica.

Únete a nosotros para crear conciencia y demostrarles a las sobrevivientes que no están solas.

El Pueblo is proud to join the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence for Purple Thursday in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We wear purple to show our support for survivors and our commitment to building safer, stronger communities.

Every1 Knows Some1. Every1 has a role to play in ending domestic violence.

The American Heart Association is working with El Pueblo to launch a community-focused self-monitored blood pressure (SMBP) initiative, supporting patients in tracking their blood pressure between medical visits.

With cardiovascular disease now the leading cause of death among Hispanic adults in the U.S.—surpassing cancer—there is a critical need to address the impact of rising obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and other risk factors. Recent findings highlight the significant role of social, economic, cultural, and environmental influences in ongoing cardiovascular health disparities, emphasizing the importance of culturally appropriate prevention, equitable healthcare access, and greater inclusion of Hispanic communities in research.
