The greater Des Plaines river valley is a complex and amazing ecosystem. Everytime we go out we see Blue Heron, Hawks, Turtles and sometimes even a Bald Eagle. What we don't see are the Wolves, Coyotes and Mountain Lions. Being at the top of the food chain means we have a responsibility to protect and maintain the river valley around us. Our goal is not just to make the rivers and creeks nicer, our goal is to make them healthy in name, reputation and ecologically sound. Join us today on salt creek as we help repair our fragile valley.

AND MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THE SHORT FILM "How Wolves Can Change Rivers" it is a great educational tool and an amazing story.

Directed by George Monbiot. With George Monbiot.

Just because the weather is keeping us grounded doesn't mean it's time to slack. If anyone has any idea how to take the capsized motor boat out of the cemetery or the half buried model A out of the golf course touch base with me. We are also looking for friendly riverfront property owners that will let us use their property as a staging area to hold debris and come back and haul it out after after future clean up trips. Thank you all and keep it green till next time. Thank you.
