Midwest Books to Prisoners Offering solidarity to our comrades behind bars since 2004! 643 W 31st Street in First Trinity Lutheran Church. Some of us have incarcerated loved ones.

WHAT WE DO: We send books to our incarcerated comrades. HOW WE DO IT: Every Tuesday we gather and read letters sent to us by prisoners. Based on what we have in our library, we mail the requester a package containing reading materials that either match or are similar to what they want. WHY DO WE DO IT: Some of us feel that the prison system is unjust. Some of us believe that education and literacy

are essential human rights. Some of us want to fight against recidivism in any way possible. Some of us were previously incarcerated. Whatever your reason, your support is appreciated.
