GUCA members have made a special bond with the patients and families of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) as they have donated over 500 lunches to families fighting childhood cancer over the last 30 days. GUCA held their annual Larry S. McReynolds Memorial Golf Tournament on September 21, 2026 at White Oak Country Club with 216 golfers representing 54 teams enjoying the beautiful weather, great scores, and networking fun! GUCA member RDJE, Inc. provided lunch this week for patients, their families, and nurses in the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.

RDJE, Inc.'s act of kindness to brighten the day of those battling childhood cancer is another example of GUCA's commitment to the community.

With a team of 12 Strack, Inc. employees working together at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch in Waleska, GA anything is possible! The Strack team was able to complete the deck framing and painting of a much needed storage facility in one day that would normally take several days to complete. Goshen Valley Boys Ranch serves over 140 young boys ages 8-18 who are in foster care. This labor of love is another example of how GUCA members show up for community service projects and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

GUCA President's Awards Breakfast is always a special moment to recognize the Committee Chairman of the Year. Jason Lee, Integral Municipal Services Corporation was the recipient of the distinguished award as he chaired both the Building Committee and the Legislative Committee to advance GUCA future growth needs and industry efforts! Keynote Speaker Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones gave an informative speech detailing the growth of Georgia under his leadership and the future of Georgia. GUCA is pleased to announce Senator Bo Hatchett as the 2026 Golden Shovel Legislative Service Award. We are grateful for Awards Breakfast Sponsors Ritchie Bros.
