With a team of 12 Strack, Inc. employees working together at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch in Waleska, GA anything is possible! The Strack team was able to complete the deck framing and painting of a much needed storage facility in one day that would normally take several days to complete. Goshen Valley Boys Ranch serves over 140 young boys ages 8-18 who are in foster care. This labor of love is another example of how GUCA members show up for community service projects and make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Jason Lee, Integral Municipal Services Corporation was the recipient of the distinguished award as he chaired both the Building Committee and the Legislative Committee to advance GUCA future growth needs and industry efforts! Keynote Speaker Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones gave an informative speech detailing the growth of Georgia under his leadership and the future of Georgia. GUCA Members corrected drainage issues at Camp Inagehi this week so the 2026 summer camp can open on time for boys and girls! GUCA Member RDJE, Inc. was able to complete the installation in a race against the weather and a strict deadline. All equipment was donated by Cowin Equipment Company, Inc. The pipe was donated by Fortiline Waterworks and all precast, ring and covers and grates and frames were donated by Georgia Concrete and Precast. Vulcan Materials donated 2 loads of GAB and 1 load of 57 stone while Concrete Supply Co. provided delivery of the stone. Utility Locating Services donated by Pinpoint Utility Locating.

The GUCA 3rd Annual Fishing Tournament was a huge success as 10 boats competed on the waters of Lake Oconee for supremacy! All proceeds go to support the GUCA scholarship program to help civil engineering and construction management students complete their educational endeavors. Congratulations to the Soil Tek Solutions team of Avery Hammock and Jackson Brown whose total weight of 6.95 pounds for three fish took first place honors!
