It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of the Forest Park Community Fridge.
While the fridge was built to support our neighbors, operational challenges recently made it clear that our current setup at the Community Center was no longer sustainable. We tried to find a path forward, but we’ve reached a point where we need to step back.
We are endlessly grateful to everyone who has donated food, volunteered time, and supported this mission. Your generosity showed the best of Forest Park, and we fed a lot of people.
This isn’t necessarily the end, but we are taking a pause to regroup and explore new locations. We will also coordinate with other local fridge groups to see how we can best serve the community moving forward.
Lots of love ❤️
