As we reflect on a summer that ended way too quickly, we can’t forget to say thank you to these organizations! 👏 ⬇️
Without them, the students would have returned to no big playground out back tomorrow and a really run down one up front! ⚠️
Together, we accomplished something great this summer Columbus Elementary School!
Tonight, as we prepare for a new year, let’s talk to our children about respecting this beautiful space and equipping them to be great kids that start the school year strong! Including others and playing safely while having so much FUN on these amazing structures! 🙌
We’ve unfortunately already had numerous reports of vandalism! 👎 Please keep your eyes peeled and report any unacceptable behavior to the school or authorities! Look out for this park like you own it! 😉 👀

📢 Now let’s give credit where it is due… give shouts of thanks and PLEASE support these local establishments who went above and beyond for us many times over this summer!

We did it! 😭 More pics of our beautiful new spaces coming for days to come! 🤩

Columbus Elementary School, we have a very special new bench thanks to a wonderful past teacher and current teacher who rolled up their sleeves to dig and donate! 🪏 💰
Ms. Deford is smiling down on the bench and garden dug in her honor. 😇
We can’t wait for the kids to find friendships on this bench and watch the plants grow around them over the years to come! 👯🌱
Thank you to those whose generosity made this beautiful area happen! 🤩

Good news is, we have grass sprouts! 🌱

Bad news is… we are back under construction.
🚧 We will keep the playground open if people can respect the caution tape areas! ⚠️
The blue ground areas are off limits until Saturday afternoon.

What a day! 🎉
Started the day feeding teachers breakfast tacos! 😋 Fueled them with snacks and chocolate between serving them a delicious early dinner prepared by many families! (No photo evidence!)
Captured a group photo of the most kind and loving staff out there (missing a few in this pic!) before Mr. Fox cut our fancy red ribbon and we began to play! ✂️
👀 Tomorrow will come the thank yous! Columbus Elementary School, thanks for visiting our new space today! 🛝

Mulch has arrived for both playgrounds!
It’s being installed today!
Columbus Elementary School, please join us tomorrow at 4:15pm out back for lemonade and a ribbon cutting to open our brand new playgrounds! 🍋
Play, sip, chat and then go meet your teachers and play some more! 🛝
Please allow us to finish the space; it’s not open today! The playground opens tomorrow!

Two fantastic ways you all helped show love to teachers and staff today! ⬇️

Donuts, and yogurt parfait plus F R E E Caribou coffee was served to welcome everyone back today bright and early! ☀️
Then Amazon delivered a large heap of happy mail from wish lists! 😊
Forgot the pizza 🍕 pics for lunch, but it’s always a favorite especially when it’s from Papa John’s !

The beautiful blue ground was added to the big playground Friday night. 💙
Plus cement was poured in our newly constructed seating area!🪏
We worked late into the evening spreading dirt and laying grass seed. 🌱
👀 The playgrounds are starting to come together but please be mindful of the caution tape and things drying over the next few days as we prepare for you to enjoy our new spaces! 🛑

Another day closer to playground completion Columbus Elementary School! The first layer of the poured in place was put down at both playgrounds!
Tomorrow the second layer and concrete work go in! It’s important to stay off the ground until next Wednesday!
