• The Grandberry Intervention Foundation (TGIF) has been licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a Child Placing Agency serving neglected/abused children since 2003.
• TGIF was awarded an Adoption contract in 2007. Since that time TGIF has placed a total of 23 children in 11 Foster/Adoptive Homes.
• TGIF opened three branch offices expanding Foster Care and Adoption
Services in Beaumont (2010), Houston (2011) and Longview/Tyler (2013).
• TGIF on average serves approximately 90 to 100 foster children monthly.
• TGIF has provided safe, nurturing homes to nearly 1,500 Texas children since 2003. TGIF served 64 foster children in 2004; 121 children in 2005; 194 children in 2006; 121 children in 2007; 125 children in 2008; 93 children in 2009; 112 children in 2010; 141 children in 2011 and, 142 children in 2012.
• TGIF began operating with nine (9) Foster Families and has trained and issued licenses to nearly 150 Foster Families since 2003. In 2012 TGIF issued licenses to 52 new Foster Homes.
• TGIF started with one employee in 2003. Today TGIF employs thirteen full-time and five part-time professionals in four Texas cities.
• TGIF has trained and licensed 142 foster homes. In 2004 TGIF trained nine foster parents. Last year TGIF opened 52 new licensed foster homes.
• TGIF purchased the former Ambassadors of Christ Christian Academy in Ft. Worth in 2007 and, relocated its corporate offices headquarters into an 18,000 square foot facility.
• TGIF held a grand opening celebration for the Multi-purpose Community Center. The center includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose room, computer room, game room, classrooms and cafeteria with full commercial kitchen.
• TGIF Community Center currently serves children, adults and seniors via activities including parenting classes, dance and karate classes, basketball practices and games, Teen Summits and free play.
• TGIF Community Center offers space for special event rental to community groups, churches and individuals.
• TGIF will expand services at the TGIF Community Center by offering a comprehensive after-school program for school-aged children in 2014.
