Our 12 Pokémon babies have completed their work at the Maryland State Fair Puppy Yoga and are now accepting applications for adoption!
The first 6 pups are predominantly pit mixes per DNA, however Lab and Shepherd shine brightly in their features. They will be labeled lab mixes. The second litter is mostly Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd, but we are NOT expecting them to be large. The other breeds in them must be shrinking them somewhat. These pups were caught living outside in rural TN, making the local rescue play Gotta Cath 'Em All. Both Mommas were caught as well and adopted locally.
Both litters are around 8-9 weeks and 10 pounds and under currently. They will have 2-3 parvo/distemper vaccines, Bordatella vaccine, microchip, and be spayed/neutered.

Adoptions begin 9/3 and all adults in the home must be present to adopt!

Send us a detailed application for ONE puppy from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com. If that one isn't available we will email you about choosing another.

It's National Dog Day!
And we of course want to see your pups! Let us know if that pup is a PAWS Alumni so we can say hi 😀

Maybe share something funny or quirky that your pup does as well. It's hump day and we all need a laugh to finish out this week.

Our pups have been keeping a secret and their true identities are now revealed! The first 6 pups are mostly pitty-type breeds, though that 4% Lab comes through pretty strong in physical features. The second set of 6 pups are a wonderful mix of Guardian/Herding breeds, ranging from short coat to fluffy. All 12 pups had to be cornered and caught while living in the woods in Tennessee, hence our theme: Gotta Catch 'em All. Both Mommas were already adopted back at home. We are expecting both litters to be under 60 pounds based off the size they are now at 8-9 weeks old.

We will begin accepting applications Saturday 8/29 at 3 pm, after their Puppy Yoga debut at the Maryland State Fair.

They will be spayed/neutered 9/1 and available for adoption beginning 9/3. These pups do not have special requirements in a home. Just love and patience.

Follow along and wait to send those apps in!

Update: All Adopted

Aaaachooooo

Sneezy here, officially objecting his name and demanding a new brother that's not identical to him. Sneezy just so happens to be the cuddliest pup you'll meet. He loves to fall asleep in your lap, on the couch, in the grass. He's also super smart and basically potty trained! He loves kids and dogs and would likely do well with cats.

Sneezy was born 5/25 and his Momma is a Carolina Dog and 40 #. Sneezy is the perfect package!

Send us an application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com to adopt this week!

Update: Shiloh is adopted!

What happens to a dog when they are returned as a teenage puppy?

They have to fight for attention against the tiny little puppies, and the fully trained adult dogs. Shiloh is beginning to feel like he doesn't stand a chance. He was left in a Dumpster at 4 weeks old with 10 siblings, then his next family discarded him like trash, all over again.

We normally don't have bad things to say when pups are returned. After all, the adopters followed contract. But this time, something was wrong. The family claimed the kid was allergic after several weeks with him. We immediately took him back, and discovered an extremely sick and totally different dog than we sent out. Shiloh hid from every noise, every shadow. He wouldn't even get up to go outside and use the bathroom, he had to be carried. But the worst part...was the vomiting and diarrhea. Something was wrong. Right before needing to schedule a vet appointment the first day we had him back, Shiloh started vomiting up a t-shirt. And it kept coming. We had to get him started on medication for his GI tract to avoid surgery. Luckily, this boy pulled through. The happy, healthy Shiloh that finally felt safe in a home, started to act like a puppy again.

This boy now loves to play. He has the most dramatic puppy hops and zoomies to entice others to play with him, or he will simply entertain himself (and anyone watching him). He has gone on at least 2-3 dozen outings with his Foster Mom and the Rescue and has never had a problem. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. He gets along with playful dogs and does well with kids that can handle his zoomies. He will want any sized fenced in yard to do his business in, he is NOT a fan of going while on a leash.

Shiloh is now around 7.5 months old, neutered, microchipped, has ALL of his vaccines, and monthly preventatives. He only needs you.

While we are thankful that he WAS returned, a puppy eating a shirt could have been avoided. He was clearly returned because he was extremely sick, yet we received the poor review. Sometimes, I wish the dogs could review humans...

Shiloh has a very low adoption fee to help him get adopted. Please consider a teenage pup. He is just months away from being that fine-tuned, fully trained adult dog, but still with puppy love and kisses to share.

Send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com. The foster is in Havre de Grace, MD. And if you'd like to leave us a review to make up for people like this, pm us and we can share the link.

Update: Both are adopted

We named the 7 Dwarfs before we actually knew their personalities. It turns out that Sneezy is sleepy and cuddly, Sleepy is happy and playful, and Happy is d***y and chill.

Please help us fix our mistake by adopting one and giving them a new name! These pups are 10 weeks old and Carolina Dog/ Lab mixes. They are sweet, social, fun, and will make amazing family pets. They are fantastic with other dogs and kids, should adjust well to cats, are starting on potty training, and absolutely love human attention. Momma is 40 pounds and Daddy is unknown. Sleepy and Sneezy look just like Momma and are expected to be in that 40-45 # range.

Lucky for you, these pups are already neutered and microchipped, have all 3 parvo/distemper vaccines, Bordatella vaccine, and are UTD on monthly preventatives.

Send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com and reply to our emails. Adoption will be within 2 days of applying so be ready!
