Some pups are born to nap.

These pups are born to turn an ordinary Monday into an adventure.

Whether they're leading the game, keeping the peace, causing a little harmless mischief, or tagging along for the fun, this family has personalities as lovable as they are unique. They remind us that the best memories are made with the people (and puppies) you love most.
Now available for adoption. And yes... we're pretty sure they'll teach their future families a thing or two about having fun.
These pups are 8 week old Heeler mixes. While the last pup looks like a tiny undercover German Shepherd rather than a cattle dog, he is in fact related to the others.

These pups require a fenced in yard, a decent sized yard (no townhouses) and yes they are already biting the back of our calves, so no toddlers or babies. They haven't been around cats but love other dogs and kids in general, just nippy.

Adoptions will be scheduled for Friday and 2 pups are already pending adoption. The entire family must be present. Send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com.

ADOPT A PUPPY TODAY!

Take a puppy home TODAY!

Bring the family (and dog vet paperwork for any dogs at home if your vet is closed) and we will handle the rest!!

When? TODAY I SAID!!! 12-4

Where? Pooles Island Brewing Company in Middle River. It is family friendly, kid safe, littles can roam around, non-alcoholic drinks and yummy food choices.

What on Earth is going on? Open Adoption Event, following our private ticketed event Puppy Yoga. Puppies can be adopted and go home same day!

How? Bring the family and that paperwork if needed, meet the puppies and see who clicks. We have take home collars/leashes and a meal to get you through and to the store.

Do they have shots? Silly question for us. We aren't like the other local rescues. These pups have 2-3 shots, not just one. They are also vaccinated for kennel cough, microchipped, and spayed and neutered already. For the same adoption fee as the others, we did all the work for you and saved you several hundreds.

So, what is the fee? Darn Facebook won't let us post it, but it is our standard puppy fee, viewable on our website.

Show me the puppies!! Ok, ok! Go to the website, adoption, then adoptable dogs! See thier breeds, ages, etc, and a short bio on each one.

Under the adoption tab click adoption application. It is a Google document that you can do from your phone. While a friend or SO drives you straight to the event to meet the puppies.

Can't adopt but want some puppy love today? We could really use puppy food donations. Bring a bag of Purina One Puppy Food (red bag) and get puppy snuggles!

I hate that I'm making another post like this...see the Ramen post from a couple months ago...

Dumpy was returned to us this week after only being adopted in March, with the reasoning that the child in the home was allergic to him.

We knew immediately that something was wrong. Dumpy was not the same playful dog that we had adopted out. He has had his head hung, tail tucked, and hides under anything he can fit his body under. Sure, he is in another new place, let's give him time to warm up, right?

The vomiting and diarrhea could be chalked up to stress, too, right?

But the fabric that he is now constantly pooping out...what excuse do I come up with for that?

We are hopeful that 1. He is clearing out his system on his own and we can avoid surgical intervention and 2. Once he feels better he will open up and trust us again

Soooo here we are, again, fixing another puppy. We try guys, we really do. We call references. We call vets. We look up people online. We meet the entire family in person. We try.

We have a lot of puppies we are trying to get adopted right now, but we will post updates on Dumpy as we can. He was one of 11 pups found in a Dumpster at 4 weeks old. His main breeds per DNA were Cattle and Pit, and he was born around 1/12/26.

Lilibet

Lilibet and her babies came to us from a local shelter at the beginning of April. The story, as it was told to us, was that a friend was asked to watch Lilibet, then never came back for her. Lilibet ended up being pregnant, and the friend cared for her and her puppies until they were old enough to take to the shelter.

Lilibet can be nervous at first but with a slow intro she warms up and becomes very cuddly. She will love to lay in your lap and sleep in your bed. She does great on the leash and loves her walks, and at only 25 pounds she is very easy to control. She is completely potty and crate trained as well.

She likes dogs that are bigger than her, but hasn't been tested with any that are smaller than her. Her foster dog siblings are BIG, like 70-90 pounds, and she loves playing with them. She also loves squeaky toys and will get really excited about them and will carry them around in her mouth. The cutest part? She has occasionally done a happy circle dance.

Lilibet was sadly heartworm positive but we have treated that already. It is not contagious and it was mild. It is not something that will cause issues later in life. She is 100% vetted, spayed, microchipped, all of the things YOU need. Now SHE just needs YOU.

At 25 # Lil is apartment approved. We have her labeled as a Chihuahua/Beagle mix. Her puppies DNA top 3 breeds were Chihuahua/ Beagle/ Lab.

Good morning Facebook fans! With 15 puppies in our rescue and the number growing, we are going through puppy food at an alarming rate. Even worse, we are down to our last 4 bags. If you are able, please help us by sending us a bag or two. We will try to keep an eye on the wishlist and make updates throughout the upcoming days. Any of the items on the list are items currently in need, especially the large p*e pads and paper towels. We could also use full size newspapers (without the inserts) if you are local or are planning on attending our event Sunday at Pooles Island Brewing Company . These pups are some kind of terrier-pit type mix, maybe a little bit of Catahoula thrown in there. Their birthday is roughly 3/6 and they will be available beginning May 31st at our adoption event following puppy yoga at Pooles Island Brewing Company in Middle River from 12-4. You can apply at www.puppiesareworthsaving.com. The entire family must be present.

If you can't make the event, available puppies can be adopted from their foster homes by appointment only. Current foster is in Abingdon, MD which could change. An approved application is still needed.
