Chicot Trace Chapter NSDAR held their monthly meeting at the Dallas County Library on November 13th. We were excited to welcome Arkansas State Regent Gretchen Magee as our special speaker. State Regent Magee spoke about her special projects which include: Service Dogs of America, Wreaths Across America and Shoe Boxes for Veterans. After a delicious baked potato bar lunch provided by members: Katrina Abbott, Melrose Bagwell and Cindy Crumm, State Regent Magee joined the group in assembling shoe boxes for veterans in nursing homes in our area. The members will distribute a total of 41 Christmas shoe boxes to veterans in several local nursing homes. Chicot Trace member, Donna Massey, presented a quilted wall hanging to State Regent Magee for auction at the 2022 Arkansas State Conference to raise funds for her projects.

Next meeting will be held on December 11th and will be held at the home of Chicot Trace member Agnes Phillips. Hope to see you there.
