IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Due to the weather forecast, the Fordland Memorial Library yard sale date has been changed to Thursday, July 9 through Saturday, July 11.

Please share this update.

If you ordered a lasagna meal, those will still be made and can be picked up at the library. Please contact Becky Turnbaugh Fisher if you need more information.

Some have been asking …
Here’s the library’s schedule for the next few months.

July 18, 2026
This is our regular monthly storytime. The library is open 10 am to 2 pm. Storytime starts at 11 am.
The firefighters and the firetruck will be our guests. There will be Crafts, stories, and a free hotdog lunch.

August 22, 2026
This is a special Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm. It is a day full of fun and activities.

Winners for the summer reading program grand prizes will be announced. (If you haven’t registered your children, there is still plenty of time.)

Local Authors’ Day features 3 area authors who read their own stories to the children and have activities.
This year the authors are Darla Noble, Joanna Bryce, and Kimbra Kern.

Rock painting will be provided by Valerie Willis and the library.

Magical Stories will have face painting and balloon twists.

The library will have a bounce house for just the small children and raffles for some great toys for everyone.

Hunter's Plant Paradise will have miniature potted plants for just a $1.

Harmony House Outreach will have a table setup.

Storytime will be at the old pavilion in the Fordland City Park during the library’s 6th annual Fordland Memorial Library Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show. This huge event includes vendors, food trucks, carnival games and so much more.

This is free to the public. Those who bring vehicles to the show will pay $20 per vehicle entry. Dash plaques, goodie bags, and door prizes are part of the show for those who register.

Children receive some free tickets to play the carnival games while extra tickets are just a quarter.

Those children who attend storytime at the park receive several free items.

More information will be provided about this big day in a later post.

Come to 244 W Main in Fordland and support the local library this week on June 25-27. (Thurs- Sat)

In addition to the yard sale, you can enjoy some homemade lasagna. But it will need to be preordered.

If you would like to preorder a pan of homemade lasagna, the library volunteers can help with that.

A small pan that has 3-4 servings can be ordered for $15.

A large pan that has 10-14 servings can be ordered for $30.

It is quite delicious and just perfect when you don’t want to cook. 😋
