We had a great time yesterday celebrating the Higher Heights Initiative’s grand opening of the hydroponic farm, supported by LISC Chicago, Cook County Arts, and United Way of Metro Chicago! And we unveiled a dynamic mural designed and painted by renowned visual artist and sculptor- Rhonda Gray, Noni Gogins, and Nakia Brown! 🎨

South suburban Ford Heights, one of Cook County’s food deserts, is now home to a high-tech farm thanks to funding from the county and United Way.
