We're back with the fourth installment of the USW Presidents series!

Chris Frydenger from our Rapid Response department gives us a brief history of Lloyd McBride, our union's fourth president, who was just 14 when he went to work for a steel plant in Missouri. McBride lived through the Great Depression and went on to fight against fascism as a member of the Navy during WWII.

Our virtual Your Union, Your Voice town hall meetings are now underway! Union leaders, including International President Roxanne Brown and district directors, are discussing the work our union has been doing and giving you an opportunity to share what's most important to you going forward.

The next two meetings will take place April 30, and May 1- with more to come. If you can't attend your district's meeting - you can attend any meeting time that works for you.

Did you know that today is Babe Ruth Day? Babe Ruth famously used a Louisville Slugger bat, which is now made by our siblings from Local 1693, and has been a staple of Major League Baseball for more than a century.

Ruth signed an endorsement contract with the original manufacturer, Hillerich & Bradsby, on July 9, 1918, and many of his historic home runs were hit with these bats, which he often notched to track his home run total
