Barbara decided young girls of all ages needed an outlet to give them the opportunity to serve their community and make it an area everyone can be proud to live. Barbara passed the torch to Helen Buanno in 1995; Helen served a
s the director for ten years and enjoyed each year with spectacular court of Miss Fonda Fair queens. Next in line was Gretchen Salvione, she served as the director from 2006 till 2009, Gretchen brought great new ideas and s***k to the annual pageant. The 25th anniversary pageant was specially directed by Helen Buanno in 2010. The pageant was later directed by mother and daughter duo Jackie and Jessica Lape. As of January 2022, The Miss Fonda Fair Pageant is now an official Fair Franchise in the Miss New York Organization. All four titleholders will be preparing for the Miss New York Competition in Peekskill, NY this May 2022. The pageant is open to girls whom reside in Fulton or Montgomery Counties and range from ages 5-24. The pageant is a great way to meet new friends, learn about yourself as a person, and have fun! It is a tradition for many families and a great annual event to come together and enjoy the fun of the Fonda Fair!
