This past Sunday, Diego was in the backyard, and when I went to check on him, there was an injured brown bat right in front of my house. It was broad daylight, and there was no sign that the cat had caught/messed with the poor bat, but we had to take precautions. The bat is with the health department getting tested for rabies. They are not too concerned because Diego is up to date on vaccines.

Even if you are the most responsible pet owner on the planet, vaccinate your pets!!! You never know when an unexpected encounter will occur. We will update with the results. 💜🖤💜
