This week's troop meeting we had a few scouts finish the Fishing Merit Badge. Catch, clean, cook and eat; everyone enjoyed it. Our college Assistant Scoutmasters were back in full force and some new families joined in the fun.

What a great time camping this weekend. Fishing Merit Badge, Orienteering, deer carcass(skull and antlers came home to incorporate into the Troop flag somehow) Emergency Preparedness practice (tornado watch, warnings and sirens), and we got to shelter in place. Miraculously we survived, oh and the Dutch Oven Meatloaf and Apple Something was delicious (no leftovers).

Today we met at the Butler Airport and visited High Flight Academy where we earned the Aviation Merit Badge. We did preflight Inspection on a Cessna 172, saw a twin engine torn down for inspection, tried the flight simulator, and built model gliders to test our newly learned knowledge of flight. Great job today girls!
