And our final show of the 2026 season will be "Blithe Spirit", written by Noël Coward, and directed by long-time Red Barn Member, Shelly Cary.

A smash comedy hit in London and New York, this much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives concerns fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, who has remarried but finds himself haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, Elvira. Clever, insistent and well aware of Charles’ shortcomings, Elvira is called up by a visiting “happy medium,” the eccentric and flighty Madame Arcati. As everyone’s personalities clash, Charles’ current wife, Ruth, is accidentally killed. She “passes over” and joins Elvira, allowing the two “blithe spirits” to haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity.

The show will run September 17 - 19 & 23 - 26

The third show of our season is "The Curious Savage", written by John Patrick, and will be directed by Wayne Brinda

When Ethel Savage’s late husband leaves her a small fortune, she decides to make the best of it, establishing a fund to support various dreamers with whimsical aspirations. But her three greedy stepchildren – a socialite, a senator and a judge – commit her to a mental institution, hoping to “bring her to her senses.” In the sanitarium, a warm and inviting home known as “The Cloisters,” Ethel befriends the other “guests,” a colorful crew of kind, generous and delusional souls. In time, Ethel finds happiness with them and plans to spend the rest of her life among them. Meanwhile, the stepchildren, discovering that Ethel has hidden the family fortune, attempt to browbeat her into confessing where the money has been stashed.

With warmth, humor and dignity, The Curious Savage celebrates those who are often overlooked, emphasizing kindness, affection and empathy in a world that too often rewards greed and ambition.

The show runs August 13-15 & 19-22.

The second show of our season is our musical, Fiddler on the Roof. The show will be directed by returning directing team, Jessica Patterson & J. Daniel Craig!

Winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof is the brainchild of Broadway legends, Jerome Robbins and Harold Prince; songwriters, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick; and bookwriter, Joseph Stein. Touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon.

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

We welcome all adults and children in 3rd grade & up to audition for the musical! Please prepare a 16-32 bar cut of a musical theater song in the style of the show and bring a prerecorded accompaniment/karaoke track. A bluetooth speaker will be provided. No a capella singing will be permitted.

The first show of our season is Over the River and Through the Woods, written by Joe DiPietro, and directed by first time Red Barn Director, Johnny Gallagher!!

The show runs June 4-6 and June 10-13

The show centers around Nick, a single, Italian-American guy from New Jersey. His parents retired and moved to Florida, but that doesn’t mean his family isn’t still in Jersey. In fact, he sees both sets of his grandparents every Sunday for dinner. This is routine until he has to tell them that he’s been offered a dream job. The job he’s been waiting for – marketing executive – would take him away from his beloved, but annoying, grandparents. He tells them. The news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. How could he betray his family’s love to move to Seattle, for a job, wonder his grandparents? Well, Frank, Aida, Nunzio and Emma do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner the lovely – and single – Caitlin O’Hare as bait.
