We are SO excited to help reveal the cover of Jenna Elyse Johnson’s upcoming picture book, PENNY’S PAGES, releasing March 16, 2027!

This one is extra special to us because the story was inspired by Ruby and Ruby’s Books and in the sweetest coincidence, Jenna had already written the story with a bookstore dog named Penny before we got our Penny.

The story follows Penny, a beloved bookstore dog who spends her days welcoming customers, helping around the shop, and making everyone feel at home...until a new mail carrier arrives who is afraid of dogs.

We’re so honored that Ruby’s helped inspire this story, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Today we’re celebrating all the hardworking pups in our community, from the ones who protect their households from suspicious squirrels to the ones who bravely patrol the neighborhood… for snacks.

And of course, a special shout‑out to our Therapy K9, June, who has officially declared today a holiday dedicated to belly rubs, treat negotiations, and sitting majestically while supervising the station.
