🚨 Winter Weather Advisory from Folsom VFD 🚨

With the impending winter weather, Folsom Volunteer Fire Department is asking everyone to please stay off the roadways if at all possible.

The Department of Highways (DOH) will have a difficult time keeping up with road conditions and has advised that it will take extra time to clear secondary roads. They will also be unable to assist towing agencies in accessing vehicles that become stuck.

For your safety and the safety of emergency responders, we strongly encourage everyone to remain at home unless travel is absolutely necessary.

Please use caution, plan ahead, and check on family and neighbors when possible.

Folsom VFD was alerted for a semi truck accident with
entrapment to assist New Martinsville VFD earlier this afternoon. Squad 1 responded with 5 personel and with great team work between both departments the difficult extraction was successful and completed in a timely manner.

This evening, the Folsom Fire Department members gathered to celebrate our Christmas dinner with the members and their families, and we were honored to have a special guest arrive in Squad 1.

The Folsom Volunteer Fire Department would like to Thank everyone who came out and enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with us yesterday. We would also like to give a SPECIAL Thanks you Walmart New Martinsville, Riesbecks, Price Cutter Shinnston and Mannington, Food Lion Clarksburg, RD Wilson and Company, EQT, Ruth Glasscock, Marleen Trader, Delilah Edgel, Helen Hayhurt, Tina Trader, Gabby Mullins. If I forgot anyone Thank you. Over all thanks to your support to our community and department we served at least 150 meals (the best we could count). We know this time of the year is all about family and friends, but this really warms our hearts seeing the support you all gave yesterday. Again WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU!!!!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM ALL OF US!!!!!!
