Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Over 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories volunteer time and contribute financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls. t the organization strives to achieve. Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. Club projects range from renovating domestic violence shelters and providing mammograms to low-income women, to sponsoring self-esteem workshops for teenage girls, etc.

What an incredible weekend celebrating 50 years of transforming lives through the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards Program.

It was inspiring to join fellow Soroptimist clubs from across the region as we recognized the impact this program has had on women who are working tirelessly to improve their lives through education and opportunity.

A special congratulations to our club’s Live Your Dream recipient, for being selected as one of the region-level award winners. Your determination, resilience, and commitment to building a brighter future are truly inspiring.

Thank you to our President Amee Ankney and delegates Terri Giza and Tamare A. Fleury, for proudly representing our club during this milestone celebration. Your leadership and dedication help make these life-changing opportunities possible for women in our community.

For 50 years, Soroptimist Sierra Nevada Region have invested in dreams, empowered women, and created pathways to success. Here’s to the next 100 x 50 years of changing lives, strengthening communities, and helping women and girls achieve their full potential.
